❁ Mindfulness and Music ❁

Music can be a great way to relax.  Whether you’re making it or listening to it, it has the potential to transport you to another world.  The right song can change your mood if you roll with it.  Listening and creating music are great ways to be mindful.  I play the cello, and I often become so focused on the music that I am entirely in the present moment.  This is true mindfulness.  Sometimes it is harder to be mindful when we listen to music because it may remind of sad events in the past or make us anxious about the future.  However, if you listen to the right song, you can be in the present moment.  You can be mindful.  Down below are a few of my favorite songs to listen to when I want to be mindful.  These songs are also good for deep meditation.
